Founding Computational Biochemist
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role as a Founding Computational Biochemist at BioX AI in London, UK. The role involves leveraging AI and computational methods in biochemistry research and product development whilst working closely with clients.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proficiency in computational biology using advanced AI frameworks and methods
- Eight or more years professional experience in molecular modeling, drug design, and virtual screening
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Relevant bioinformatics frameworks such as ESM3, Biomni and AlphaFold
- Knowledge of next-generation sequencing data analysis and molecular dynamics simulations
- Understanding of biological systems, structural biology, and protein-ligand interactions
- PhD or PostDoc in Biochemistry, Computational Biology, or related field
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive scientific innovation
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- Can present complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences
Founding Materials Scientist
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role as a Founding Materials Scientist at BioX AI in London, UK. The role involves leveraging AI and computational methods in materials science research and product development whilst working closely with clients.
Qualifications & Experience
As the Founding Materials Scientist, you'll be a key player in shaping our company's future by leading the research and co-development of innovative materials on our AI-powered industry leading platform. We're looking for a visionary and hands-on scientist with a PhD in materials science, chemistry, or a related field, and a proven track record in materials synthesis, characterization, and process optimization, You should have eight or more years professional experience, publications in leading journals, and conference keynotes. Your responsibilities will include co-designing and executing experiments with a variety of clients, analyzing data to inform strategic decisions, and establishing core intellectual property. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams in academia and industry research labs to translate scientific breakthroughs into scalable, real-world applications. The ideal candidate is an independent problem-solver with a strong entrepreneurial spirit who can thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, and help develop our partnerships and materials science capabilities from the ground up.
